Spur, a digital staffing agency , seeks a dedicated and punctual Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher for Alliance for Progress Charter School .
Position Overview The Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher will play a vital role in creating an inclusive, supportive, and structured learning environment for students with special needs. The ideal candidate should be able to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), manage classroom activities, and ensure student success while maintaining a professional and positive demeanor.
Key Responsibilities - Supervise students consistently during designated hours.
- Deliver engaging enrichment lessons tailored to individual student needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, administrators, and staff.
- Lead students in structured and unstructured activities that promote learning and social development.
- Enforce proper student behavior using the school’s behavior management system .
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support student learning and school operations.
Qualifications - High School Diploma/GED (Required)
- Pennsylvania Criminal History Background Check ($25.00)
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
- Pennsylvania FBI Fingerprinting
- Prior experience working with children, preferably in a special education setting
- Friendly, punctual, and professional demeanor
- Ability to lift to 40 lbs
Compensation & Schedule - Pay: $40.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (when school is in session; hours may vary by location)
