Staff Nurse (RN) - New Graduate Perioperative Nurse Residency Program

Join the Staff Nurse (RN) - New Graduate Perioperative Nurse Residency Program at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center Health System. This 9?month full?time residency supports new graduate nurses as they transition from nursing student to professional clinician.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate as a member of the patient care team, providing high?quality, patient?focused care.
• Assess, prescribe, implement, coordinate, delegate and evaluate nursing care for patients and families.
• Direct and supervise nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team.
• Participate in clinical service rotations at University Hospital, Ross Heart Hospital and Same Day Surgery.
• Engage in hands?on clinical experience, in?depth classroom and simulation experiences and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CCNE or ACEN accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure or interim permit to practice registered nursing from the State of Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Nursing and prior experience in a relevant care setting.
• Preferred: Leadership, critical?thinking and teamwork skills.

Location

Medical Center Tower (0870), The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, OH.

Schedule

Regular full?time 40 hours per week.
