We're looking for enthusiastic, outgoing Appointment Setters to staff our promotional endcaps inside local Home Depot stores. Your primary mission is simple: approach strangers, start conversations, and schedule in-home appointments for our HVAC sales team. If you love talking to people and are motivated by bonuses, this is your chance to control your own earning potential.
This position is starting at $18/hr and will get 2% of all sales generated by their appointments.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the Closer of Conversations: Proactively approach customers near our display to initiate friendly, engaging dialogue about their home comfort needs.
- Book Appointments: Use a brief qualifying script to identify homeowners interested in new HVAC systems or maintenance. Your main goal is to secure a confirmed, qualified consultation time.
- Manage the Schedule: Accurately log all contact information and appointment details into our system (provided tablet).
- Represent Our Brand: Maintain a high-energy, positive, and professional presence as the face of our company inside the store.
- Keep it Tidy: Ensure the endcap display is always clean, stocked, and inviting.
What We're Looking For
- People Skills: Must be comfortable and confident walking up to, and engaging with, complete strangers. This is a non-negotiable requirement.
- Goal-Oriented: A proven ability to meet daily or weekly appointment-setting goals.
- Resilience: The ability to handle rejection with a smile and quickly move on to the next conversation.
- Flexible Schedule: Availability to work peak retail hours, especially evenings and weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).
- Reliability: Dependable transportation and a commitment to arriving on time for shifts.
